Playing School

Nick: Meghan, you be the teacher, you are good at that.
Meg: No, I'm not...but ok.
Nick: yes, you are. You are good at telling us what to do

Manners

Kristy: You don't just run into their house. You have to wait for them to invite you.
Jacob: They're going to bite me?!?!?
Kristy: no, INVITE

Big Things

Jacob greets me at the door with one of Kristy's bras. I ask "what's that for"? He holds it up to his chest and says, "It's for my big things... Mommy has big things."

Monsters in the closet

I tucked Jacob into our bed last night, and hes all snuggled up and out pops his finger pointing to the closet. he says..

"Mom, are there monsters in there?"

Me: "No, Jacob, there are no monsters in the closet."

Jacob: "Ok, but there could be."

Me: " Nope, there are no such things as monsters"

Jacob: "Like from Monsters, Inc. They could be in there"

Me: " They are just pretend, there are no real monsters, honey."

Jacob: "Um, ok."


I went to go check on Ben after that. I sang to Ben said goodnight, blessed him and when I walked out, I see that in those few minutes Jacob carried his pillow back to his room and tucked himself in his bed.

I still think that he doesn't believe me. Esepcially with the movie, Monsters,Inc. He probably thinks I'm flat out lying to him.

Cactus things

This morning Jacob was snuggling with me in bed. After giving me a hug he reported his displeasure with my unshaven face saying,  "Dad, you have cactus things on your cheeks."
